Wow, this year has flown by. I have been so busy this year, but, have I accomplished all that I set out to do? I decided to go back a year and look at my post 2025 Goals and see how I did.
My first goal was to add more content to YouTube. I started out on this alright, and I added some content to my husband’s YouTube channel as well. But overall, that one tapered off, and as the year proceeded, I think I have come to the conclusion that it’s not as important to me as I had thought it would be. I do have a new goal for next year that has to do with filming, but I’ll share that in my post about upcoming goals.
My second goal was to learn how to edit my video’s better. This one I actually did, just because I had to do it to edit the videos I did put up. Learning is always good, and I can learn so much more about the editing software, but I did get to where I understood the basics and could edit without having to google questions more than editing.
My third goal was to paint more, which I did, and I loved it. I still occasionally have times when I don’t paint, life does get busy. One of the things I have done to help me paint more is I have purchased small sketchbooks. The paintings cannot take more than 20 minutes or so because the paper is so small. These have been fun. I set a goal to paint for an entire month in October. I did so and really enjoyed those paintings. I have also been teaching more classes which gets me painting. I like to practice before I teach so I have a better understanding of the subject matter.
Marketing would be the next one I listed. I have a love hate relationship with marketing. I did learn a little bit more, and my daughter, who just completed her marketing degree helped me out a lot this year, just learning how to set up scheduled posts on social media, connecting this website with social media, and navigate google ads and things like that. I still feel like a beginner, but I also think I did better pinpointing my marketing this year. Still a lot to learn there.
The last official goal from the beginning of the year was to be more engaged in my business. I feel like I have done that better, focusing on something almost every single week, and getting prepared for most of my markets by spending time daily so I didn’t have to rush the night before has worked well. I have also taught more art classes overall and been prepared for those ahead of time and look forward to more classes this coming year.

The last wish I guess you could say was to go ziplining. I didn’t get that done. When my birthday rolled around, which is when I was planning on doing it, we were busy getting our last missionary ready and out on his mission. Maybe this year, but we’ll have to see how that plays out.
Overall there are things I’m proud of accomplishing, and places I wish I had done better, along with areas that I’ve learned maybe aren’t as important to me as I thought they might be. I’m grateful I can adjust as I go along, and I’m grateful for all of you participating in 2025 with me, it’s been a great year and I look forward to 2026!
