Today I just wanted to say thank you to all those who have supported my brother’s family, my parents, my siblings and their families, and myself and my family throughout this past week. While in Utah there were so many people who came and offered meals, brought treats, blankets, volunteered to help at the funeral, and with a myriad of other things that needed doing.
My sister-in-laws siblings, their spouses, and her best friend, were especially so helpful, taking care of everything in the background, keeping everything on track as well as taking care of daily schedules so we each knew how to help and where to be. They were a huge blessing throughout this difficult past week. I learned so much of ministering from them and friends who came to minister to not only my brother’s family, but ministered to all of the extended family throughout the week.
To Scott’s best friend who built his casket. It was beautiful and perfect.

To the fire fighters of Cedar City, thank you so much for your support, right from the beginning, and for showing up in force the day of the funeral to honor Scott. We are grateful to the St. George and Hurricane fire fighters for willingly covering the area so that all the local fire fighters who wished could attend the funeral services. Thank you to the Cedar City police for their willingness to allow the funeral procession to take place and for their kindness and love extended as we passed by.
Saturday was a day to remember. It was a sad day in many ways, but a blessed day because of so many people. Scott has taken the next step in his eternal journey, but I know I will see him again. He has not gone far, we feel him periodically watching over us, and I know that he will continue to do so as he and we continue to progress on our journey’s. I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and that He has made it possible to feel grief and joy and peace all at the same time. To understand that death is not the end, just a door we must all enter, and that we can be reunited again because of Him.
