Happy Easter everyone! I hope you have all had a great day celebrating with your family and friends, and have been able to celebrate Jesus Christ’s resurrection some time this weekend as well.

We had the opportunity to start our day at Church, to listen to beautiful music and personal testimonies about what/how Jesus Christ has impacted several peoples lives, and what then Easter and Christ’s resurrection means to them.
The testimonies were beautiful, but I especially loved the music. Song were sung by the primary age children, our Young Women group, and several individuals and small groups. It was a wonderful program that brought the spirit, and I’m grateful I could go and feel.

When we came home we got the prep work done for dinner and got everything in the oven and then many in the family played the game Life. After the game, my husband, myself, and my son watched a 45 minute zoom meeting introducing him to the MTC (Missionary Training Center), where he will be headed for 2 weeks on Tuesday. It was nice to get a small glimpse into what he’ll be doing there.

We had a wonderful dinner – Ham, funeral potatoes (a Utah thing), fruit salad, and green salad. But my favorite part of dinner: we had a great time visiting, telling stories, and enjoying each others company.
The Easter bunny brought 2 bowls of candy, so we ate candy for dessert and watched a movie. After that, my son who is leaving on his mission wanted to go play Ultimate Frisbee before he left, so we headed to the school soccer field with a few more friends and had a very wet, very slick game. But it was a lot of fun.

It’s been a great Easter, and I am grateful for my Savior, and the reason that we celebrate not only Easter, but Christmas, the reason we can rejoice in hard times, the reason death has no sting. I am grateful He came to not only save, but to help me along the way.
