My daughter and I are traveling home today, so this post will be short. It’s going to be a long day, we left Cedar City at 8:00 am and we will arrive in Anchorage at 12:36 am on Thursday morning. We have an exceptionally long layover in Los Angeles, which we don’t usually fly through there, so it’ll be a new place to explore.

I love coming to visit my family, but I also like going home. I miss my husband and kids (and the dog). It was a fun time, and a great reason to come visit. I wish we’d have had more energy to go and do some of the other things we had planned, but I’m also glad we had time to just not do anything so we could get healthy before we traveled again.
I don’t know if my parents said this at some point, but I always say it to my kids when we get home from a long day being gone, it’s a funny little nursery rhyme – To market, to market, to buy a fresh pig. Home again, home again, jiggety jig.
My kids all think I’m weird, but just you wait, some day they’ll be saying it to their own kids!
