First, before I back up, I thought I better be accountable for my last blog post. Did I get the art area cleaned up? I did! Did it happen on Wednesday like I had hoped? Of course not! But I’m glad I wrote about it, because it added a bit of accountability to my efforts to get it done in a more timely manner.

I was also able to get all my art products that were sitting around my house hauled down to my sewing/art/business room in the basement. And, not only is it down there, but everything there stayed somewhat organized! Well, as organized as it ever gets, some stuff just has to be stacked. Not that that’s disorganized, but I need more shelves.
Now to the backing up a bit. Last Sunday I wrote a post about updating my website so I could add my art for sale here. As I began, I realized I didn’t know enough about what I wanted to make the necessary changes. So, instead of starting on the website this past week, I have begun a new online class on website building. This one is quite a bit different from the others I have taken as it’s more about the code writing and not at all about the drag and drop type of website creating.
Drag and drop is all I have done as far as website creating, and I have learned a lot, so I am a bit intimidated by this course. I will still be utilizing a lot of the resources on WordPress for plugins I believe, but I will be able to better customize how every aspect of the website works right from the ground up. At least, that’s my hope.
This course is about 12 weeks, but it is self paced. In some ways that’s nice because I can get it done a little bit quicker, but in other ways, I am hoping I don’t slack off and take 24 weeks or something like that! I do think however, that as I get further along in the course I will hopefully be able to start implementing some of the changes gradually here. So, if you find anything not working correctly, please let me know so I can work on getting it fixed!
I love learning, sometimes I wish I didn’t have to learn so much just to do something that seems like it should be so basic. However, that’s what I’ve had for the last 3 or 4 years, basic, and I think I’m ready to upgrade. Hopefully my brain will be able to grasp all the concepts and I can upgrade! Wish me luck!
