Learning is hard, frustrating, and sometimes discouraging. But that’s not the end of learning, there are great outcomes as well.

Frustrated but learning

I have been in the process of creating a new website.โ€‚This time I am at least confident that I know I can since I have done it once.โ€‚But since creating this website, technology has moved forward, websites have evolved, and there is still a learning curve.โ€‚ Mostly because I started from scratch with a whole new program.โ€‚

The actual program has been easier to understand and I have more freedom to design the page as I have wanted to, that’s been nice.โ€‚But the really back end stuff that I didn’t do with this website I have had a hard time figuring it out, and just as I think I’ve got it, I go and test it and it’s not right or doesn’t work at all.โ€‚

As you can tell from the last few posts I’ve written, I have been thinking a lot about education and learning.โ€‚I enjoy challenging myself and learning new things, but the desire to learn does not mean that it’s going to come easy, but it will be worth it in the long run if we press past the hard and uncomfortable.โ€‚

I will let you all know when I have everything working correctly, and probably ask for people who might be willing, to test everything on the front end to see how it works.โ€‚In the mean time, I have also started a new watercolor subscription course called Nature’s Studio.โ€‚When I first learned how to watercolor I watched a couple of this woman’s videos and they were super helpful.โ€‚I needed a change and a challenge so I canceled my other subscriptions and started on this new one.

I have been enjoying the fresh perspective and new challenges.โ€‚I started with her beginner courses because I enjoyed the couple classes I watched but have never taken an actual course from her, and I never know what I can learn, even if I’m not a beginner.โ€‚But I did not stick with her beginner subjects, but found my own that inspired me.โ€‚So here are the first few paintings that I have completed.
