The New Year always brings so many possibilities. Here are a few things that I will be focusing on this year.

Direction for the coming year

Christmas break is ending today.โ€‚School starts tomorrow for many students, the college starts next week.โ€‚This has been a nice break but I’m happy to get back into our routine as always.โ€‚I’m also excited that so far the weather for the next 10 days doesn’t have any extreme cold temperatures.โ€‚It’s something I watch living here in Alaska in January and February.โ€‚The longer we can go above zero the better!

I am excited for this upcoming year.โ€‚Well, I am excited every year.โ€‚I am excited for every day, week, month.โ€‚Life has a lot of good in it even if we do have hiccups along the way, there’s always something to be grateful for, something good in every day.โ€‚But, I have goals and milestones I am working toward and they excite me as well!

This year I have several larger items I am and will be working toward.โ€‚As I have written a couple of months ago, I have another book in the works.โ€‚Currently it is going through the editing process which will take probably another month or so based upon the timeline I was given.โ€‚All in all the process will take about 9 months or so.โ€‚There will be things along the way that I have to do, so I will keep you updated on all that as we go along.โ€‚I’m excited to work through this process.

I have also been writing away for my other website and I am excited to launch that soon.โ€‚I’m not exactly sure when, there are a couple of pieces of the back side of the website that I am still figuring out.โ€‚There is so much to learn about building a website, and of course, I decided to try a different format than this current website, so a new learning curve.โ€‚But this time the learning curve hasn’t been quite as steep as when I created this website, probably because I have the basics down now, it’s just learning the different plugins and how they work now.

Of course I am always working on my art.โ€‚I have been debating on subscribing to a different online watercolor tutorial site, I haven’t decided yet.โ€‚The one I currently subscribe to is $9/month, the new one would be $25/month but I have purchased a number of books from the new one and taken some free tutorials from her as well and I really like her style, so I’m still deciding.โ€‚Either way, I will continue to paint as often as possible.

I also want to go ziplining this summer.โ€‚Maybe for my birthday this fall.โ€‚There is a place in Talkeetna that has a course (I don’t know if that’s what it’s called) that takes about 4 hours.โ€‚This has been on my list several summers and each year other things come up either that needed the money or that needed the time that I had set aside, so it’s back on my list this year.โ€‚I also need someone to go with me.โ€‚My husband is usually pretty game to do most things, but he has already said he will not be joining me on this adventure.โ€‚

I have many more things on my list, big things and lots and lots of smaller ones.โ€‚But this gives you an idea of where I’m headed.โ€‚What kinds of goals and plans do you have this year?
