I always bring my painting stuff along when I travel. I don’t always get a lot of paintings done, and they’re usually more along the lines of quick sketches rather than full paintings, but I like having it so that when I have a little bit of extra time I can paint. I also find lots of inspiration when I go and visit places, usually going home, but it’s so much different than Alaska, so it’s fun to paint new things or at least get lots of pictures to paint later.
I decided today to share the few I have painted while I have been here in Utah, most of them small sketches, but I did head out of my comfort zone and paint a large acrylic for my daughter and her soon to be husband. This will also be a short message as we are headed to Las Vegas to the airport to pick up more family for the wedding on Friday!

The paintings above are all from tutorials on Emily Olson Art. The next one is the one for my daughter. Reminiscent of Alaska so that no matter where she goes she has a little bit of Alaska to take with her.
